Electrical Foreman
Pay Range: $30–$42/hr
Reports To: Electrical Project Manager
Travel: Mostly local with occasional short regional travel
POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Foreman is the operational leader for large-scale C&I electrical projects ($100K+), overseeing installation, safety, production, and crew development. This role ensures work is completed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Jefferson Energy’s core values: Partnership, Transparency, Impact, and Grit. The Foreman is the on-site authority for problem-solving, planning, sequencing, and delivering exceptional workmanship.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Crew Oversight

Lead crews of varying sizes depending on project scope.

Train apprentices, leads, and electricians in advanced installation practices.

Maintain high expectations for quality, pace, and teamwork.
Project Execution
-
Oversee conduit installation, service upgrades, equipment grounding, panelboard and switchgear installation, transformers, lighting systems, and EV infrastructure.

Ensure all work meets NEC, local codes, engineering specifications, and company standards.

Interpret and execute complex one-lines, blueprints, and project plans.
Project Planning & Production

Conduct detailed preplanning and coordinate material forecasting, staging, and tool requirements.

Monitor daily progress and adjust crew assignments to maintain or exceed production goals.

Complete JobTread tasks, daily logs, and production updates.
Quality & Safety Leadership

Perform daily quality control inspections across all work areas.

Lead site safety practices, enforce PPE standards, and conduct toolbox talks.
-
Foster a supportive safety culture—reinforcing that safety is essential for protecting people, not punishing them.
Communication & Coordination
-
Communicate proactively with the Project Manager regarding schedule updates, design conflicts, and material needs.

Interact with customers, inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors professionally.

Guide apprentices and leads through troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Close-Out & Commissioning Support

Lead punch list completion, labeling, testing, and documentation for project close-out.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

3–5 years electrical experience
-
3–5 years commercial experience
-
3+ years leading crews
PREFERRED LICENSES & CREDENTIALS

Journeyman license preferred

Indiana Electrical Master’s License preferred (not required)

Medium Voltage Experience

OSHA 10/30

First Aid/CPR

MEWP / Scissor lift / Cherry picker certifications
